actress Madhuri arrested for 'prostitution'
Chennai, July 11
South Indian film actress Madhuri and a few Telugu film
personalities were arrested from a house in a posh
locality in the City on charges of prostitution.
The 32-year-old actress and 10 others, including two
other women and an equal number of brokers, were
arrested by personnel of the Anti-Vice Squad (AVS) from
T Nagar here last night.
Acting on information, a decoy went to the actress'
residence, from whom she demanded Rs 3,000 for her
services. The policeman, who was carrying only Rs 2000,
handed over the money and said he would come back with
the balance amount.
He returned with an AVS team, who arrested the actress
and 10 others including Telugu film actor Kumar, film
producers Prasad Reddy and Krishna Prasad.
Madhuri had acted in several Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu
films. |
